Allan Jaffe, MD, Christopher Baugh, MD and Frank Peacock, MD engage in a robust discussion of the implications of converting to High Sensitivity Troponin.

This video program is accredited for 0.25 Hours of CME/CE Credit and is expected to take approximately 15 minutes to complete.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This activity has been designed to enhance the awareness of the improved management of patients at risk of cardiac injury/death through the use of the newer high sensitivity troponin assay in the diagnosis and management of cardiac events.

EDUCATIONAL GOAL

The goal of this activity is to provide clinicians with the latest updates in the use of high-sensitivity Troponin in the diagnosis and management of cardiac events.  

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Utilize High Sensitivity Troponin levels to Rule Out patients at risk of MI. This includes adjusting for patient factors including race, gender and co-morbidities.
  • Modify patient care by recognizing reasons for elevations in High Sensitivity Troponin levels
